Jump-Start Conversions ($25): We convert most of the formatting for you. You finish out the conversion by making changes to your data connection string, making (usually) minor formatting tweaks, and finishing the conversion of all of your old Crystal Reports formulas into .Net functions. We do convert most of your Crystal Reports formulas into VB.Net functions, but there are some advanced formulas that you will need to handle yourself. We guarantee we can save you at LEAST two hours of work with our Jump-Start Conversions!

FULL Conversions ($250-$950): We convert your entire Crystal Reports template to a Reporting Services RDL. We also convert your SQL/stored procedures, too. You will send us your data, your RPTs, sample testing criteria (so we can test the output), and we will return back to you 100% working RDLs based on your old Crystal Reports template (and sometimes updated SQL code).

To get the cost of your FULL conversion, you can send us all of the reports you are wanting to convert. We will look at your reports and give you a total count of all reports and sub-reports. The estimate will simply be the cost of your reports multiplied by $750, and your low and high ranges are multiplied by $250 and by $950. That is your FIXED low and high cost. It will NOT exceed the high cost. There is no way to give you an absolute exact estimate on your cost. If you want an exact estimate, simply multiply all of your reports by our maximum cost of $950. It is guaranteed not to exceed that.

There are a few Crystal Reports concepts that just do not work the same way in Reporting Services. Sometimes, we can not see if something will work or not until we begin the conversion. One of those is the concept of conditional drill-down. Sometimes we can do it easily; sometimes it takes a ton more work than expected. Sometimes, to do conditional drill-down in Reporting Services requires pretty much a re-write of the report and data structure. As long as we're comparing apples to apples, it's covered in the fixed conversion price. If it's an apples to oranges conversion, we will contact you with updated pricing. On large projects, this sometimes happens with 5-10% of the reports. You will get the opportunity to approve the additional costs before we proceed, though.

For the FULL conversions, there is a minimum one hundred (100) reports order. Most FULL conversions cost $750 or less. For the $25 Jump-Start conversions, there is a minimum of 10 reports.

NOTE: Sub-reports with either conversion are NOT free. For the Jump-Start $25 conversions, sub-reports are $25 extra per subreport. For FULL conversions, we will include those in your project estimate. When you order your jump-starts, we have a specific "sub-report" item to purchase. This insures that you are aware that you have sub-reports in your reports, and tells us to keep an eye out for them.
